ACA ETHICS , TRADITIONS

 AND DICIPLINARY  RULES

Regarding the sensitive nature of ACA responsibilities, and the broad competence, of its members. The ACA instituted ethics, and behavioral regulations, according to the Chairman of ACA decree no. 47- of year 1997.The regulations prescribed, a number of internal instructions and disciplinary rules, by which, ACA shall be capable of preventing deviations and misuse of authority among its personnel. Further, to highlight the behaviors governing the conducts and acts of ACA family and to adhere with customs, traditions and loyalty .

These regulations included the following:

Basic rules governing the members’ behavior and what should be considered in a frame of seniority, respect, well example, proper manners, adhering with laws, regulations and systems.

*

Impartiality and transparency in work rule, instituting that ACA member should request to be dismissed from investigating and examining any cases or complaints that could involve the interest of any of his friends or relatives.

*

Office traditions and mutual respectful relations among ACA staff.

*

Dealing with citizens and informants.

*

The behavior while attending conferences, lectures, training courses and missions .

*

The attitude in utilizing ACA vehicles allocated for the members and employees.

*

The traditions and behaviors during various social occasion.

*

The attitude in utilizing domestic and international transportation.

*

The behaviors and traditions while practicing different activities at public clubs and forums.

*

The behaviors and general attitude by  which ACA members should be distinguished .

DEALING WITH CITIZENS AND INFORMANTS

Regarding the eagerness of ACA to broaden its information sources and deepening the public awareness of its vital role in serving , defending  and facilitating their needs in that concern. The ethics regulations emphasized on the rules of dealing with citizens and informants .

The most important of which are :

Show  moderate  respect  while receiving visitors .

*

Devote full attention to visitors and avoid any substantial interference.

*

Select the appropriate meeting point, which complies with the informant’s safety and secrecy requirements.

*

Grant appreciation and respect to senior officials .

*

Avoid frowning during meetings and being influenced by private circumstances.

*

Avoid being arrogant and aggressive while meeting the public.

*

Avoid accusatorial attitude in dealing with individuals, even though object of suspicions.

*

Maintain and respect appointment schedules and the necessity to notify upon cancellation or postponing .
